If you are trying to lose weight is there anything worse than the feeling of self-loathing you get when you overindulge in something you know is going to make your problem worse? The sinking feeling when you have made yourself eat less and do without for a period of time until something happens....... A bad day at work, the baby kept you awake all night, you just didn’t have time to prepare something, a social gathering…..the reasons for falling off the wagon are endless and normally connected to something emotional!!!!! The reason you failed is simple, diets are rigged, they are not sustainable or supportive to our lifestyles, they are a quick fix and work very effectively while you follow them to the letter, however, it’s a tough mountain to climb and it’s the psychological struggle to leave behind all that good stuff that we enjoy so much and it’s a fast slippy path back down and once you’ve hit those rocks at the bottom its game over and so the cycle begins again and after you’ve re-tasted all the forbidden food to make yourself feel better about your epic fail and now self-sabotage on top, the realisation hits you like a ton of bricks ......... the supposedly impossible has happened all that work has gone to waste and at a rapid pace you’ve put the weight back on so easily and more!
